Supplying Europe with critical heart valve technologies just got a bit easier with completion of Edwards Lifesciences鈥 new Gold LEED-certified manufacturing facility in Ireland鈥檚 National Technology Park just outside Limerick. Recipient of the 2022 Irish Construction Excellence Award in the 鈥淚ndustrial Over 鈧15m鈥 category, as well as a 2022 Irish Building & Design Award for Industrial Building Project of the Year, the facility was constructed using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) procurement approach and innovative digital tools.
A global leader in structural heart technology headquartered in Irvine, California, with manufacturing facilities around the globe, wanted production capacity in Ireland to manufacture critical components for its heart valve technologies as part of their global supply strategy to support future growth and reliability of supply to patients worldwide.
