Meet Brian Burkhard

As an electrical and systems engineer in transportation, Brian Burkhard is always thinking of ways to improve the operations of 鈥渂ricks-and-mortar鈥 transportation infrastructure with new technologies and data.
As a teenager, Brian built his own shortwave radio and experimented with different types of antennas to see how he could improve receiving radio signals from around the world. This early interest in 鈥淒X-ing鈥 eventually led to Brian embarking a career as an electrical engineer.
The curiosity on how to build and improve how things work continues to drive Brian鈥檚 creativity and insight for 网曝吃瓜黑料一区二区三区 transportation solutions. Today, he serves as our Global Principal for Advanced Mobility Systems.
鈥淲hile I am excited about the possibility of automated vehicles (AVs) being commercially available, I believe that an AV is only as good as it is 鈥渃onnected鈥 or as a connected vehicle (CV). CVs can save lives, improve mobility and decease greenhouse gas emissions. I am passionate about how these new kinds of vehicles can interface with our transportation infrastructure and improve our quality of life.鈥
